SUMMARY:Probus meeting
DESCRIPTION:\nThe monthly Probus meeting will take place at the Edge Vula Vista room on Wednesday 24 November 2021 at 6pm. It will be a talk followed by a meal.\n\n\n\nWe are a month away from the launch of the James Webb Space Telescope which is expected to revolutionize astrophysics and astronomy by peering deeper into our universe and consequently further back in time than has ever been possible to date. \n\n\n\nWe are indeed fortunate to have Fiona Wallace share with us some “inside knowledge” about this ambitious scientific project – some media reports expect it to have as much impact on modern since as the Hubble Telescope initially did many years ago.\n\n\n\nThis will be our last meeting of the year. \n\n\n\n•             Our third  meeting since the onset of Covid 19 will be this coming Wednesday (24 November) at the Edge at 6 pm.\n\n\n\n•             The cost for Probus members is R130 and for guests it is R105.•            \n\n\n\nPlease will you RSVP to Jan by Sunday evening latest, you can email him on jandelport@absamail.co.za or call 0837787711 and let him know if you have any special dietary requirements.\n\n\n\n•             Special notice re Covid 19-\n\n\n\nIn line with other Probus clubs that are starting up again your committee requests that you do not ttend or bring guests along that have not been vaccinated. We ask that you pay particular attention to this request considering the age of the majority of our members.\n\n\n\nWe look forward to meeting one another again.\n
