DESCRIPTION:\n\n\n\n\nThe pilgrim walks are  designed around spiritual needs, emotional needs and physical needs being met.  Belinda heard that her God walks and when she heard that, she decided in response to do that, to go walking with God. So for anyone who is needing answers or needs to take time out to reflect deeply, this Pilgrim walk are specifically for you!\n\n\n\nThe Karoo walk around the Compassberg is a world-class experience. You will walk safely in extremely remote areas of the Karoo with lots of game and vast expanses as your companions. The overnight stays are exceptional and you will walk approximately 20 km a day.\n\n\n\nNew pathways are emerging and we have added Holy Hogsback to our walking paradises! We walk through sacred spaces, avoiding tourism and commercialism, seeking out the stories behind the scenery. We meet the remnant on the mountain, sharing testimonies of God’s goodness and grace. We walk creatively, navigating dramatic weather, places and spaces.\n\n\n\nSunday 2nd October\n\n\n\nWelcome Lunch-gather from 12.30ish…Venue-Woltree Eatery,shop and Info…Glen will welcome us Hogsbackian style…\n\n\n\nAfter-we will drive n convoy to the Edge Mountain Retreat…A tour by Belinda before freshening up in your own suites…Regroup at Bella/ kombi from 4.Drive to the Chapel and meet Trevor Webster-known author, historian, walker, pilgrim and more…Together we will do the designed prayer walk around the Chapel…After Trevor will share interactively some of the areas history…After-we will return to our Sanctuary Space at On the Edge for Dinner and Connecting share…\n\n\n\nMonday-3rd October\n\n\n\nDaybreak Walk optionalDevotions and Breakfast from 8am @our Sanctuary Space-The Tin shed.All pilgrims are welcome to contribute at Devotions each day.After-we drive in Bella/ kombi to the natural heart of Hogsback-the Arboretum, where we will meet our guide Carol-a garden, flower pilgrim of note.Together we walk through Ancient indigenous forest to 39 Steps waterfall…Listen to the birds…After Carol will guide us through1 more top garden of note…After-the pilgrims will be taken to Thrive-an eatery of wonder-Diane will share some of her journey with ground and food…Lunch will be enjoyed here..\n\n\n\nAfter pilgrims walk the lonely lanes of Hogsback to Mirrors-a crystalshop and photographic gallery…After pilgrims walk to On the Edge-we will walk the Bluff and World’s 3rd largest Labyrinth in silence.After-Free Time\n\n\n\nRegroup at Bella at 6-drive to our Dinner destination-Touroca Table.Hosts Angus and Laurent will feast us the french way…Laurant will share something also of his Walking Life…he has walked Camino Santiago twice…\n\n\n\nTuesday-4th October\n\n\n\nFirst Light Walk -optionalDevotions and breakfast from 8ishAfter-drive in Bella to Jikanyi to meet Shephard, guide and pilgrim -Siya-do get him to sing also…together you will walk to the Big Tree and Madonna and Child Waterfall…This hike is about 3 hours…After-picked up and driven to Back o the Moon and meet Norma-retired doctor, a lay preacher at the Chapel, pianist and more…We will lunch under her Tulip tree…After we will drive to Diana’s Echo Shrine…Meet Diana-her zeal and creativity will amaze you…After-pilgrims can walk/ drive back to On the Edge-FREE TIME…We re- group from 6ish at Our fire in the Sanctuary for Dinner…\n\n\n\nWednesday 5th OctoberWalk at first light-optionalDevotions and Breakfast from 8ish…Drive in Bella to Hobbiton where will meet and sojourn with Tonya Burton-Ceo, artist, pilgrim and more…We may gain some survival tips as we walk with her through the grounds including a forest…After we will enjoy a short slide show of the life of Hobbiton…After-We drive to Woltree for lunch.AfterTonya will put on another hat and share with us her growing healing knowledge of essential oils…Her products will be available to purchase.FREE TIMEre group at the fire from 6ish for Dinner at the Sanctuary…\n\n\n\nThursday 6th Oct\n\n\n\nWalk at first light-optionalPack baggage into Bella-lock and leave cars at On the Edge…Drive out to drop off point-pilgrims will walk to the entrance of Lowestoffe’s entrance…a holy highway,Bella and Belinda will check on pilgrims every 5kms…We will drive onto our stays…a walking paradise…LunchAfterFree TimeDinner at the fire…\n\n\n\nFriday 7th October1st Light Walk -optionalDevotions and Breakfast from 8am…A farm tour with farmer, pastor Neil…A meandering walk of surroundings…LunchFREE TIMEFellowship Dinnerat the Fire with Neil and Robin and hear their testimonies of faith…\n\n\n\nSaturday 8th October\n\n\n\nBreakfast from 8ishLong Walk with Robin…LunchRest and Reflect…Final Dinner -dress up as a character from the Bible…Share a testimony of choice…\n\n\n\nSunday 9th October\n\n\n\nPack upBreakfast from 8ishDrive back to the Edge\n\n\n\nOptional Church Service from 10am\n\n\n\nPilgrims free to leave the Mountain above the Clouds…\n\n\n\nPLEASE NOTE\n\n\n\nPilgrims stay and walk at their own risk.No alcohol is provided-the Edge has Bar facilities…All extras are for the pilgrims’ own accounts…I like to leave a group cash tip at stays…\n
