The count takes place for three hours before sunset on the Saturday afternoon\/evening and for three hours after sunrise on the Sunday morning. The Cape Parrot count for the rest of South Africa (KZN and Eastern EC) will take place on the 4th and 5th of May. This is an annual event to count the entire Cape Parrot population.
