39 Steps
Located within the Hogsback Arboretum, 39 Steps Waterfall is one of the easiest waterfalls to visit in Hogsback. The short walk takes around 10 to 15 minutes and follows a gentle path through the arboretum, making it suitable for most fitness levels.
Why it is called 39 Steps
The waterfall is named after the series of natural rock "steps" over which the water cascades, rather than actual steps on the trail.
A picturesque forest waterfall
Though relatively small, the waterfall is a picturesque sight, with water flowing over a dark stepped rock face into a shallow pool below. Surrounded by indigenous forest and exotic trees from the arboretum, it is particularly beautiful after rainfall and offers excellent photographic opportunities without requiring a strenuous hike.
