KettleSpout

KettleSpout Waterfall is known for the unusual effect that gives it its name. After good rain, when strong wind moves through the gorge, the falling water can be blown upward into a plume of mist that resembles steam rising from a kettle.

Forest routes and valley viewpoints

The waterfall can be experienced from upper and lower viewpoints, with routes passing through indigenous forest and opening onto wide views over Hogsback and the Tyume Valley. Trails vary in length and intensity; some sections are steep, slippery when wet and close to exposed edges.

Prepare for the trail

Visitors should use suitable footwear, allow more time than trail signs may suggest and confirm current forestry access and permit requirements before setting out.
