River Running Cottage is a rustic stone self-catering cottage on an established horse property in Hogsback. It includes an equipped kitchen, lounge and fireplace, providing a simple base in a rural setting.
Horses For Healing is represented separately as the related horse-centred activity at River Running. Riding, guided outrides and other horse experiences should be described through that child offering rather than folded into the cottage story.
Horses For Healing offers guided, horse-centred experiences in Hogsback’s mountain and forest landscape. Time spent meeting, grooming and riding the horses creates an opportunity to slow down, build confidence and connect with the animals in a calm outdoor environment.
Introductory guidance helps participants become comfortable with their horse before setting out. Experiences may follow forest paths, streams and open viewpoints, combining gentle interaction with the pleasure of being outdoors.
These activities are intended as supportive wellbeing experiences and should not replace professional medical or psychological care.
