Bowls – Everyone Welcome!
In Hogsback, we play bowls on a Tuesday and Saturday afternoon. In summertime (October – March) tabs in at 2.30 to start playing at 3pm and at 13:30 for 2pm in winter (April – September).
We have spare woods available for visitors and the nominal fee (R50 for non-members, R30 for members) for the afternoon, includes the hire of woods and the green fees.
Dress code:
You don’t have to dress up for the occasion. Just wear flat shoes and comfortable clothes. Bring your sense of humour as you are going to need it with some of the ‘chirping’ that goes on!
No previous experience is required to play bowls and the locals are only too happy to assist you in how to play the game. Come join us and meet the most social club members on the mountain…an eclectic mix of characters found nowhere else in South Africa!
