HA!MAN Musical Medicine for a crazy age
The Ha!Man will be treating us to some medicine for our times – in music, movement, visuals and more.
It starts at 19h. Book a meal before hand with the restaurant at the Edge! Entrance to the performance is free, but you are encouraged to contribute afterwards, on basis of your experience. No bookings needed.
“music is for enjoyment. and joy does not come cheap. true joy springs forth from within. it is life lived that shows itself in a flowing energy. music is that to me. it is easy to be spontaneous, and yet, it is also the most difficult thing. it does not come cheap. spontaneous music is an art. it is the fulfillment of the promise each child knows about. happy to be back in Hogsback to share this with you!”

Ha!News
HA!News has been absent for a while as times on our side have been pressing and intense. But we’re getting through. 2021 is not one of those years i would wish to be repeated. We truly look forward to a more flowing and active 2022.
For now, something for the Season. As i am performing in Beaufort West (in the middle of our vast Karoo) on Christmas day, i endeavored to finish a Christmas album – reworking melodies that stood the test of time, melodies that move me still. The album is called “Kersklank in Afrika” (Christmas sound in Africa) as the renditions do infuse the songs with something of Africa’s liveliness, warmth and vastness, being the middle of summer down here.
If you’d like to experience festive music in a fresh way and at the same time support us into the new year, you can listen to a sample medley, read more information and order the album (physical or MP3 download) at this link:
The three of us would like to thank all of you for your continued interest in our creative journey, and especially those of you who who came forward to support us financially during these last difficult months. The HA! enterprise survived the pandemic, thanks to you.
My sense is that the virus is on its tail end and that we’ll be able to stand on our own feet again next year. For now, order and enjoy these new creations – all done over the past three weeks.
We wish you all a healthy and less disruptive year ahead!
Francois (and Joke and Mira)
