Probus meeting

The monthly Probus meeting will take place at the Edge Vula Vista room on Wednesday 24 November 2021 at 6pm. It will be a talk followed by a meal.

We are a month away from the launch of the James Webb Space Telescope which is expected to revolutionize astrophysics and astronomy by peering deeper into our universe and consequently further back in time than has ever been possible to date. 

We are indeed fortunate to have Fiona Wallace share with us some “inside knowledge” about this ambitious scientific project – some media reports expect it to have as much impact on modern since as the Hubble Telescope initially did many years ago.

This will be our last meeting of the year.

•             Our third  meeting since the onset of Covid 19 will be this coming Wednesday (24 November) at the Edge at 6 pm.

•             The cost for Probus members is R130 and for guests it is R105.•

In line with other Probus clubs that are starting up again your committee requests that you do not ttend or bring guests along that have not been vaccinated. We ask that you pay particular attention to this request considering the age of the majority of our members.
