Hobbiton needs our community’s help to bridge this difficult time until learners can return to this amazing adventure centre that has been providing outdoor education adventures to over 200 000 Learners over the last 75 years. Even a small amount can make a difference and help them keep the centre open until schools can return! Show them you care!! We are aiming for R350 000 Help us now!
Message form Tonya (Hobbiton’s Manager)
We greatly appreciate the Bridging Funds of just over R 50 000 which we have received to date. This assisted us with paying the Telkom, Eskom, insurance, salaries and bank fees for May. Unfortunately we had to tuck into our meager recourses to cover the other monthly expenses in June. These included Hobbiton’s contribution of the staff’s pension policy, a vehicle service, tracker and our annual audit.
The new month brings with it only one booking but all the standard expenses therefore we appeal to those whose lives have been enhanced by Hobbiton to assist us financially.
Due to the increase in Covid infections clients are reluctant to attend camps therefore we have had several postponements to the warmer months.
