A “Jewel of Hogsback” – Maylodge Country Cottages boasts tranquil park-like surrounds for folk who wish to be far from the madding crowd. Our gardens are a show throughout the four distinct seasons. We are situated in the heart of the village within walking distance of a number of restaurants, pubs and hiking trails.
We offer six well equipped self-catering dwellings featuring comfort and privacy, accommodating from two to eight guests – ideal for couples, families and larger groups.
The cottages allow you to enjoy the warmth of real fireplaces and each has a portable braai. Our emphasis is on comfortable family accommodation.
Each cottage is equipped with a commercial DSTV viewing package, has a fireplace and a portable braai. All linen is provided, and cottages are serviced daily. Beds have electric blankets.
We are pet friendly, with specific guidelines and conditions in place. Do ask when you make your reservation.
Owl Cottage (2 sleeper)
Owl is a popular cosy cottage comprising one large, comfortable bedroom with bathroom en-suite. Ideal for a couple.

Loerie Cottage (4 sleeper)
This cottage is private, with a lovely view overlooking the garden. It is warm and comfortable, comprising two bedrooms and one bathroom, accommodating 4.

Sunbird cottage (4 sleeper)
Sunbird Cottage comprises two bedrooms, both with bathroom en-suite. It can accommodate 4 guests.

Hadeda Cottage (7 sleeper)
Hadeda comprises three family-sized bedrooms, each with their own bathroom, accommodating 7 comfortably. It is exceptionally private.

Heron House (8 sleeper)
Heron House is a large family house comprising three double bedrooms, each with en suite bathroom. The upstairs room has an additional two single beds. It can accommodate up to 8 people. The open-plan lounge is ideal for convivial evenings around a large fireplace.
