The Edge Restaurant
The Edge restaurant is one of the most scenic restaurants in Hogsback with a view over the Bluff, the mountains and a beautiful garden. You can sit on the outside patio, or huddle in front of the fireplace in the restaurant or in the pub area. There is also an undercover courtyard close to the pizza oven where you can enjoy their designer pizzas.
Wouter the head chef (and co-owner) as well as his very friendly staff, go out of their way to give you an awesome experience.
The menu is not your run-of-the-mill affair and take you on a gastronomic journey of flavours and unique combinations. Even the burgers are gourmet burgers with generous portions and freshly made side dishes.
There is a fully equipped bar with gin and craft beers on tap. You can sip your cocktails on the patio or hover in front of the fireplace or big screen TV watching the sporting match of the day. Their coffee is outstanding and they have a few delicious vegetarian options as well. They also cater for the ducan-banting-keto eaters with healthy substitutions.
The Edge caters for big functions and you can even order platters.
Every now and again, Peter hosts a first class wine tasting evening. Keep your eye on the events calendar, to see when the next tasting is taking place. (17 March 2021)
The Edge is a dog-friendly space, so you are welcome to take your best friend along to keep you company. If you do not have a best friend, there is always Max the laid back Grey Dane and the resident cat to come and make you feel right at home.
If you want to go for dinner, make sure that you book before 5 o’clock.
