Hogsback hikes

Hogsback is well known for its amazing hiking trails through forests and next to streams and waterfalls. Our little village is also the end destination for the Amatola hiking trail, one of the toughest hiking trails in the country.

We encourage everyone to buy a copy of the Hiking trails of Hogsback (R70), available at the main information spots, which will give you a detailed overview of the exact paths. The proceeds of the sale of the booklets go towards the upkeep of the hiking trails and paths.

The volunteer trail-blazers are busy working updating and mapping the trails so that nobody gets lost.
